AI Builder Stories
Behind every AI tool is a person deciding which problem is worth spending time on. Alex Ferguson built RequestRocket after years of seeing integration projects slow down around the same issue: systems that all handle access differently.

What Alex built
RequestRocket sits between applications or AI agents and the APIs they call. It translates different authentication methods into one consistent connection and can limit credentials so a user or agent receives only the access it needs.
Why he built it
As a consultant, solution architect, and AI developer, Alex kept encountering a familiar drag on integration work: every system authenticated differently. The credentials available were often too broad to share comfortably with a team. As AI agents began calling APIs directly, that gap between what an agent needed and what it could access became harder to ignore.
One lesson for builders
“Ship early and let real people break it.”
Alex says early access feedback from security architects, a CFO, and software engineers shaped RequestRocket’s roadmap more than internal planning could. His takeaway is straightforward: perfection slows progress, while close attention to the details customers share helps build something they will actually use.
